IMPORTANT UPDATE: In light of the significant increase in the number of COVID-19 cases in the community, Penrith Regional Gallery has made the decision to cancel our forthcoming Community Day, this Saturday 8 January. The Community Day was an opportunity to celebrate The Archibald Prize 2020 Regional Tour, which will close this Sunday 9 January, and as such there is no option to postpone. The safety of both the community and our staff is critical in making these difficult decisions. The winner of the People’s Choice Award will be shared on our social media platforms on Saturday afternoon, as well as a recap of the Young Archies finalists.
Join us for a range of free activities across our galleries and garden in celebration of the the closing weekend of the Archibald Prize 2020 Regional Tour.
The day will include drop-in kids art activities, a discussion with three artists from the exhibition, a live performance from local musician Jerrah Patston, and an engaging tour of the exhibition aimed at families with children in early childhood and primary age groups.
