Porcelain Small Sculpture

Adult Workshop with Sharron Mountain

Step into the serene studios of the Penrith Regional Gallery and join artist Sharron Mountain for a hands-on exploration of porcelain clay — a delicate and expressive medium. Guided by Sharron, you’ll create your own bespoke small sculpture, drawing inspiration from your surroundings and allowing your creativity to unfold naturally. No ceramic experience is needed — just curiosity and a willingness to explore.

Your finished piece will be carefully fired by Sharron and ready for collection from the Gallery 2–3 weeks after the workshop.

Sharron Mountain’s ceramic practice is deeply influenced by the landscape of the Blue Mountains. Under the guide of S.Mountain Ceramics, she creates bespoke pieces that harmonise functionality with aesthetics, drawing inspiration from the region’s rich textures and the distinct haze of colours found within the Blue Mountains landscape. Sharron Mountain is a ceramic artist and educator of over 30 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Arts) and Diploma of Education. From Sharron’s Blue Mountains studio, she creates ceramic pieces and teaches a range of workshops for individuals and groups to ensure the love of pottery is shared with all willing to get muddy.
