Get hands-on with sculpture in a workshop that explores selected sculptures in the Biennale of Sydney exhibition, discovering how artists transform everyday materials into imaginative works of art.

Inspired by what they see, children will experiment with texture, shape and composition to design their own relief sculpture. Using a collection of familiar, everyday objects, they’ll create a mould and cast their arrangement in plaster, revealing surprising patterns and forms once set.

This tactile workshop encourages curiosity, problem-solving and creative thinking, while introducing fundamental sculptural techniques in a fun and accessible way.
