Young artists will explore selected artworks from the Biennale of Sydney exhibition before heading into the garden to sketch the shapes, colours and textures they discover in the natural world. Back in the studio, children will combine their ideas into a vibrant painting on canvas using oil pastels and watercolours, experimenting with layering, mark-making and colour mixing.
To complete their masterpiece, participants will design and create a unique natural frame, ready to hang at home. This playful, hands-on workshop encourages close looking, imagination and confidence in artmaking — all guided by our experienced artist educators.
