What would your face look like if it was made of clay? In this hands-on workshop children will explore hand building with air dry clay to create their own face. The workshop includes a visit to our current exhibition Ngalawan: We Live. We Remain to see portraits by artist Leanne Tobin and a clay workshop led by an artist-educator. Children will learn techniques for building and creating texture with clay, and explore the way that artists can share the special qualities of a person through art.

Add on a Colourful Self-portrait workshop for a full day of artmaking fun! A supervised lunch break will be provided for students who have booked into both the Colourful Self Portrait and Clay Faces workshops.
