Aspiring artists can explore the medium of charcoal in a hands-on workshop sketching the Nepean River. Guided by an artist-educator, children will look closely at the landscape of the river and learn techniques to draw the plants and animals that live there. In this workshop, children will take inspiration from artworks by Darug artist Leanne Tobin to capture what is important about their local environment. They will experiment with blending, shading and layering charcoal to create drawings ready to display at home.
