Discover the ways that art can tell stories about our local environment in an inspiring workshop incorporating watercolour and sculpture techniques. Young artists will visit Leanne Tobin's exhibition Ngalawan: We Live. We Remain. before creating their own watercolour drawings and paintings that will be constructed into a 3D hanging artwork.
Young artists will:
• Consider how Leanne Tobin tells stories about Dharug Country through her artworks.
• Develop drawings that reflect their own connection with their local environment
• Experiment with a variety of watercolour techniques.
*This workshop is for children aged 9-12 years.
Add on a Polymer Clay Creatures workshop for a full day of artmaking fun!
A supervised lunch break will be provided for students who have booked into both the Watercolour Mobiles and Polymer Clay Creatures workshops.
Please bring:
- Apron (or wear clothes you are happy to make a mess in)
- Water bottle and a small snack.
