Paint a colourful and patterned portrait in this workshop combining textured expressive painting and portraiture. Children will use mirrors to trace their own facial features and layer this over an acrylic painting exploring mark-making and texture using their favourite colours. Our artist educator will guide children to explore new ways of applying paint to represent mood and personality, so that they can create a piece of art that is as unique as they are. This workshop is inspired by the portraits currently on exhibit in Ngalawan: We Live. We Remain
Add on a Clay Faces workshop for a full day of artmaking fun! A supervised lunch break will be provided for students who have booked into both the Colourful Self Portrait and Clay Faces workshops.
