Porcelain Small Sculpture
Adult Workshop with Sharron Mountain
Set in the Penrith Regional Gallery studios, join artist Sharron Mountain to explore the delicate white porcelain clay medium. Make your own bespoke porcelain ‘small sculpture’ in the workshop where your creative flow will be guided and nurtured by Sharron. No ceramic experience necessary. Pieces will be fired by Sharron, and ready to pick up from the Gallery 2-3 weeks after the workshop.
Sharron Mountain’s ceramic practice is deeply influenced by the landscape of the Blue Mountains. Under the guide of S.Mountain Ceramics, she creates bespoke pieces that harmonise functionality with aesthetics, drawing inspiration from the region’s rich textures and the distinct haze of colours found within the Blue Mountains landscape. Sharron Mountain is a ceramic artist and educator of over 30 years. She has a Bachelor of Arts (Fine Arts) and Diploma of Education. From Sharron’s Blue Mountains studio, she creates ceramic pieces and teaches a range of workshops for individuals and groups to ensure the love of pottery is shared with all willing to get muddy.
