Mervyn Bishop

Photographic portraits of Aboriginal Elders.
Mervyn Bishop was commissioned by Casula Powerhouse to create twelve large-scale portraits of Aboriginal Elders in the Liverpool area. Preferring to work with black and white photography and entirely fill the frame with his subject, the artist has created intimate portraits that express the strength, knowledge and generosity of local Elders.
