Kare Sansui – Japanese raked garden
26 January – 31 March 2013
Kare sansui is Japanese for ‘dry landscape’. A traditional garden often created in the absence of water, Kare sansui comprises pebbles which have been raked to imitate the flow of water and land formations of mountain and plain. With project partner Cowra Japanese Gardens the main Gallery is transformed into a Zen garden installation.
