Framed 2011

An exhibition of photographs of site specific artworks, created in response to the Gallery’s collection of Australian abstract art, from emerging artists currently studying with Nepean Art and Design Centre.

This exhibition is part of the Advanced Diploma professional practice program and is a valuable opportunity for local fine art students to interact with their Regional Gallery, explore its history and Collection as well as gain professional practice experience and exposure for their work.
This project offers selected Fine Arts students an opportunity to experience the formal demands of working as an artist, including fulfilling briefs and submitting proposals and, in doing so, gain invaluable professional development.
Through access to the Gallery site, history and Collection, students were required to present a contemporary response to key issues of Australian Modernism and Abstraction.
